Remarks from
Kelly Dixon:

One of the ways I see we fail in our Christian walk is by not recognizing the power we have in Christ. It is my hopes that as we examine each piece of the armor that we will discover the amount of strength we have in Christ to stand firm against the enemy.

Radical Book CoverOur next study will be on the book Radical by David Platt. In Radical, author David Platt invites you to encounter what Jesus actually said about being His disciple, and then obey what you have heard. He challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated a God-centered gospel to fit our human-centered preferences. With passionate storytelling and convicting biblical analysis, Platt calls into question a host of comfortable notions that are common among Christ's followers today. Then he proposes a radical response: live the gospel in ways that are true, filled with promise, and ultimately world changing.
Remarks from Kelly Dixon: It is my hopes that as we finish up talking about each piece of the armor that we will be able to dive into David Platt's book with a more in depth understanding of how to use the power given to us through Jesus. With this understanding, we will be able to apply more appropriately the application of the radical life David proposes along with the power to submit to Christ to do so.
